'No Plastic Bag Day' Campaign

Seperti yang kt sedia maklum, every Saturday merupakan "No Plastic Bag" day utk Negeri Selangor..nak dijadikan citer, Sabtu lepas aku pi arr Carrefour kat Bandar Tun Hussein Onn..dah amik2 barang, tiba je kaunter, mamat cashier ni pun punch lah barang2 aku..tapi yg peliknya, dia letak kt tepi jer..aku pun dengan selamber & muka marah nyer sound lah mamat tu..'dik, takde plastik ke..takkan le akak nak bawak brg2 ni guna tangan"..dan dengan selamba babun nyer, mamat ni jawab "kak, ari ni kan ari tak pakai beg plastik..akak tak tahu ke??"..makkk..malu giler siooott...hehehe...cover jgn tak cover "akak tahu..tapi takkan u allzz takde jual plastic bag kot?"..terus mamat tu kuarkan plastic bag dlm laci dia & dia charge aku 10 cent utk satu plastic bag..sabo jelah..tapi apa2 pung aku sokong campaign ni..cam kt negara omputih plak aku rasa..tapi bak kata hasben aku, kt sana pun dorang guna je plastic bag..takde nyer mesra alam..ntah le aku tak penah pi obersea..

moral of da story..every Saturday, don't forget to bring ur own plastic bag..takpun, dok umah jer..pi shopping ari Ahad..huhu..

Lama rasanya aku tak bercerita pasal Hakimi & Hilman..dua org hero aku ni..

Fakta2 bout Hakimi:

- 14/03 ni genap umur dia 3 tahun

- minat giler dgn Ultraman...sampai bleh nyanyi dlm bahasa Jepun lah

- so far dah bleh mengira dari 1 - 10 (sayu je dengar klau dia mengira..dah besar anak aku ni)

- pandai cari helah especially bila nak pi hantar umah bbsitter dia

- tido lewat sebab layan cd

- berat menten 15 kg tapi tinggi dah 92 cm (kira tinggi ke tu??)

Fakta2 bout Hilman:

- 30/01 ni genap umur dia 6 bulan

- dah pandai meniarap..tgh nak belajar merangkak(asik angkat bontot je tapi tak gerak2 gak)

- berat dia la ni dah 7 kg

- kuat menyusu..la ni dia minum susu Isomil..plan nak bagi dia makan bila dia dah 6 bulan

SapuraCrest unit gets RM1.5b worth of PSC jobs

PETALING JAYA: SapuraCrest Petroleum Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, TLO Offshore Sdn Bhd, has received confirmation that it has been awarded a joint-contract for the provision of works and services to 11 Petronas production sharing contractors (PSCs) for the transportation and installation of offshore oil and gas facilities and structures from 2010 to 2012. “The price for the confirmed scope of works in 2010 is approximately RM1.5bil. “Commencement of the works is expected to be in March in various offshore locations in Malaysian waters,” it said in its filing to Bursa Malaysia yesterday. Sapuracrest said the works for the PSCs were for a duration of three years, from 2010 to 2012, with options for two further extensions of one year each. “The award of the contract will have no effect on the issued and paid-up capital of the SapuraCrest and is expected to contribute positively to the Group’s earnings and net tangible assets for the financial year ending Jan 31, 2011 and the financial periods thereafter in the duration of the contract,” it said.

How we as a parents help boost our child’s immune system.

5 ways to boost our child’s immunity :

What can we do to protect our child from the endless array of germs and viruses he's exposed to every day? Slowly, children prime their immunity by battling an ongoing series of germs, viruses, and other organisms. But there are healthy habits we can adopt that will give our child's immune system a boost.

1. Serve more fruits and vegetables.

Carrots, green beans, oranges, strawberries: Try to get our child to eat five servings of fruits and veggies a day. (A serving is about two tablespoons for toddlers, 1� cup for older kids.

2. Boost sleep time.

Sleep deprivation can make more susceptible to illness by reducing natural killer cells, immune-system weapons that attack microbes and cancer cells. Children in day care are particularly at risk for sleep deprivation because all the activity can make it difficult for them to nap. How much sleep do kids need? A newborn may need up to 18 hours of cribtime a day, toddlers require 12 to 13 hours, and preschoolers need about 10 hours.

3. Breast-feed our baby.

Breast milk contains turbo-charged immunity-enhancing antibodies and white blood cells. Nursing guards against ear infections, allergies, diarrhea, pneumonia, meningitis, urinary-tract infections, and sudden infant death syndrome. Colostrum, the thin yellow "premilk" that flows from the breasts during the first few days after birth, is especially rich in disease-fighting antibodies. If this commitment isn't realistic, aim to breast-feed for at least the first two to three months in order to supplement the immunity our baby received in utero.

4. Exercise as a family.

To get our children into a lifelong fitness habit, be a good role model. Exercise with them rather than just urge them to go outside and play. Fun family activities include bike riding, hiking, in-line skating, basketball, and tennis.

5. Guard against germ spread.

Fighting germs doesn't technically boost immunity, but it's a great way to reduce stress on our child's immune system. Make sure our kids wash their hands often -- and with soap. We should pay particular attention to their hygiene before and after each meal and after playing outside, handling pets, blowing their nose, using the bathroom, and arriving home from day care. When we're out, carry disposable wipes with us for quick cleanups. To help kids get into the hand-washing habit at home, let them pick out their own brightly colored hand towels and soap in fun shapes, colors, and scents.
